The Unscored / Orison Theater
An uneven alliance of witnesses, repair workers, and people whose credentials stopped working.
Not a secret master faction
The Unscored is a loose mutual-aid network, not an all-knowing resistance. Members exchange food, maintain isolated copies of records, and help people appeal credential decisions.
The Orison Theater
A shuttered cinema under an old water interchange. Its projector runs on an isolated circuit. The current map labels the space as sealed maintenance storage. Its physical existence is mundane, though its omission matters.
Conflict inside the network
Iona argues for inspection and testimony. A splinter group wants a blackout to force public attention. Soren explains that a blackout would harm patients and maintenance crews; stopping it costs the network trust.
Limits
They lack a full map of Vesper, disagree about Eli, and cannot guarantee the authenticity of everything they collect. Their archive includes mistakes and deliberate forgeries. Mara must examine their claims as rigorously as official ones.
Ending
The theater becomes a provisional public reading room rather than the headquarters of a new regime. Its first posted rule is: No one gets the only copy.
Alternative explanations
This is invented narrative material, not a factual explanation of real-world events.
Counterarguments
Character beliefs are not automatically true within the story. Competing interpretations remain part of the drama.
Contradictory evidence
Not applicable to real-world evidence. Internal contradictions are identified in the story bible.
Follow-up questions
Develop the next draft without changing the established limits of MUSE or equating this fiction with the research archive.
Story relevance & development
Original fictional development for THE DOME. No character or House represents a real person or institution.
Connections, not conclusions.
Iona runs the Orison Theater and opposes replacing one unquestionable narrative with another.
